Cultural Erasure is a Tool of Genocide.

It is particularly evil to steal a people's food, then claim it to be your own, and use the profit from those recipes to destroy their homes, kill and starve their children, and try to wipe their memory from the earth.

*these are only the donations we could track. Each of these different organizations’ individual names are diluting the fact that this “philanthropy” board has been exporting, in total, millions of dollars from our community all to a singular umbrella cause: the genocidal Israeli military operation.

Ron Shaich

Founder of Panera Bread, lead investor in Tatte and Cava, and current owner of Life Alive. From at least 2011 to 2014, tax filings confirm he served on the Board of Directors of Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Greater Boston (CJPGP), an organization that was funneling and continues to funnel millions of dollars to the Israeli military and its many satellite causes (e.g. “mental health support” for Israeli combat reservists returning from ravaging the Gaza Strip) via donations to organizations like the New York-based Friends of Israel Defense Forces (FIDF). Data compiled from filings of Form 990s show that between 2002–2013 the foundation donated $1,490,998 to the FIDF, and between 2010–2013 $4,314,280 to Birthright Israel. Tax filings from 2010–2014 show extensive donations to a plethora of loudly zionist organizations.

Tzurit Or

Repeatedly posted racist, unverified claims insinuating that to be Palestinian is to be a terrorist, at the same time that Palestinians were being carpet bombed by the IOF in Gaza. She may have been ‘demoted’ from CEO in 2020 in response to other racist remarks she made to her own employees, but according to her own LinkedIn she is still Tatte’s Chief Creative Officer—and undoubtedly a shareholder that profits from your purchases.
